Is Silo canceled? (Will there be a season 2?)

The June 9, 2023 episode of Silo titled "The Flame Keepers," revealed some interesting information about the mysterious underground building and the people running it. We’re getting more and more answers! What does this mean for the show's future?

It's revealed that the Flame Keepers are secret group dedicated to remembering the past in a time before everyone was living underground. Juliette, played by Rebecca Ferguson, figures out that there's cameras behind the Silo's wall mirrors. She gets her hands on George's hard drive (Ferdinand Kingsley). When Robert's (Common) raiders come to arrest her, thankfully she's not there.

At this time, only seven episodes have been released of the Apple TV+ series. The finale is scheduled for Friday, June 30. Even so, we’re already wondering if the sci-fi dystopian series will be getting a season 2. We’ve got the answer for you below!

Right now, we don't know whether Silo has been renewed or canceled. Though, there have been mixed reports about the show's future. Some news has come out that the series has already gotten a green light for season 2 and that it's in the works. But others are reporting it hasn't been canceled or renewed.

Just to be safe, we are going to say we’re not sure at this time. And that's because Apple TV+ has not put out a press release or announced that Silo season 2 is happening. So until we get confirmation from the show's production company, we’re going to say the future of the drama remains unclear.

The production does have a lot of material to work with since the series is based on a set of novels by author Hugh Howey. There's three main ones (the second of which is actually a prequel), a trio of short stories, and a graphic novel.
