A Minecraft fan has combined their love for the game with their stained glass hobby, creating incredible artwork of a Creeper. Minecraft players often make real-world art based on the title, and this stained glass Creeper is another example of the creativity of the game’s community.

When exploring the open world of Minecraft, players will come across numerous mobs. Some mobs, such as sheep and pigs, are peaceful, adding to the sometimes idyllic nature of the game’s landscape. However, others are more dangerous, threatening to ruin a player’s progress. One of the mobs most notorious for this is the Creeper. Any player who has played the game for even a short time will likely have heard the sizzling sound emitted by these green mobs when close by. Beyond potentially killing the player when they detonate, the explosive blast from a Creeper can destroy parts of buildings. Thanks to their penchant for destruction and their long history in the game, many players have become familiar with the hostile mob in Minecraft.

One Minecraft player makes a bizarre discovery while playing the game, stumbling upon a strange Pillager Outpost in their world.

Despite the traditionally aggressive nature of the Creeper, one Reddit user known as isotropy has created stained glass artwork that makes the mob look more peaceful. In a post on the game’s subreddit, the gamer shared a picture of their beautiful stained glass Creeper. Using what appeared to be various panes of stained glass, they made the artwork remarkably similar to the Minecraft hostile mob. In addition, the shape of the piece was square, matching the appearance of the in-game monster. The framing of the picture also allowed the light to shine through the glass, highlighting the beauty of the panes.

When sharing the artwork on Reddit, isotropy revealed some background on the project. According to the creator, they picked up the stained glass hobby a few years ago and made a Creeper design early on. However, after completing “more than a dozen projects,” they decided to give the Creeper design another shot. Thanks to their greater experience, isotropy revealed this new attempt at recreating the iconic mob from Minecraft in stained art form came out even better than the first.

Many gamers on Reddit seem to agree with isotropy’s assessment, as their post has gained over 1.6K upvotes. In the comments, many wondered how long it took to create the art. In response, isotropy revealed the project required roughly 10 hours of work. Beyond complimenting the creator on the stained glass, other users said the staging of the photograph made the whole thing look even better.

Given the incredible popularity of Minecraft, it is unsurprising to see so many people sharing fan projects with the community. Besides real-world art, players often use Minecraft’s assortment of blocks to make stunning creations in the game. With Mojang continuing to roll out new updates and a movie adaptation coming in 2025, it will be interesting to see what new content inspires creative fans in and out of the game next.

Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. You can survive the night or build a work of art – the choice is all yours. But if the thought of exploring a vast new world all on your own feels overwhelming, then fear not!Minecraft has no set goal and can be played however you’d like! This is why it’s sometimes called a “sandbox game” – there are lots of things for you to do, and lots of ways that you can play. If you like being creative, then you can use the blocks to build things from your imagination. If you’re feeling brave, you can explore the world and face daring challenges. Blocks can be broken, crafted, placed to reshape the landscape, or used to build fantastical creations. Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on how you play. The world of Minecraft allows for epic adventures, quiet meditations, and everything in between. You can even share your creations with other players, or play in community worlds!
